The most amazing thing about this energy that interpenetrates every atom and cell of our being, that is the fire that burns upon the altar of our heart, is that it is both a principle and a person. This is a very fundamental lesson we must learn from all of the great religious leaders East and West: that wherever God is, God is a principle, or an energy, and simultaneously God is a person.
Now sometimes we have rebelled against the person of God in the great prophets, in Jesus Christ, in Gautama Buddha, in Mother Mary, in Moses himself. And we have perhaps selected one person, one individual who has represented that God and said, “All others are not God, but only that one person.” And therefore we have made an idol of that one person.
What we must realize is that if God lives in one, he lives in all; and that if we are to experience God where we are, we must have that essence of humility, humility—humility to say, “Yes, that Logos, that Word, is come in the flesh and in the temple of the Son of God. Therefore—therefore, he can come into this temple where I AM.” And that “therefore” becomes the supreme logic of the Christ, the Logos itself, that therefore because I can see that light, therefore he, that Christ, has the power to quicken and awaken that same essential Son, that light, that Christ within me.
And if it were not so, then the same works that he did, and greater works, could not be accomplished where I AM. Yet, it is always the Father in me who doeth the work. And he said that, and we must go by that understanding, that it is the moving stream of consciousness moving in and out of the temple as the spirit and the wind that bloweth where it listeth.
That is the real identity of self, and each and every time we become attached to this form we are idolaters. And each and every time we say that the form is reality, we have fallen into that idolatry. And each and every time we love the form in place of the moving stream of life, we have been caught in the web of illusion. And therefore we mourn when we are not living with loved ones, when they are not with us, when they are in another compartment of life, in another plane of being, or simply on a journey. We mourn the loss because we have become attached to the form and we have missed the whole point of the coming of the great Light.
This great light is a trinity in manifestation, and so that energy that was witnessed by Moses became a person, a person that was a friend. God manifested himself as friend, as counselor, as teacher, and talked with Moses face to face out of that burning bush. And Moses was hardly startled. He engaged in conversation as though a neighbor had come by and asked him how his flocks were doing. And he stood there and the LORD God said to him, “Go into Egypt and let my people go. Rescue my people from their cult of death and materialism and sensuality.”
And do you know what? That same sacred fire is burning where you are right now and that same person of God is delivering that same message to you: “Go out and rescue the children of God. Rescue this generation and our youth.” And if you have a spark of vitality and freedom, and if you have an awareness of the God who beats your heart, then understand that that life is not given to you alone, but it is given to you that you may lay it down upon the altar of humanity.
And in this spirit of love and freedom, we can and we will have our victory in this age. And without it, we will see ourselves go down in that degeneration and that death because we will identify with that which we see—the effect—instead of identifying with that which remains the unseen until we elevate consciousness.
The ascended masters have shown me the records of the sinking of the continent of Lemuria right off these shores, that great continent of Mu, the Motherland. It sank because the people entered into that same idolatry of looking to the outer form and being enamored with all of the achievements of science beyond our own achievements today. And their betrayal was the betrayal of love, love as a very personal love, a devotion to the God who lives within the temple of each other.
That devotion today we see waning at such an alarming rate that I can even see it in the past decade, of the different attitude we have toward one another, toward life becoming life, even in the womb. And so today, bereft of that love and bereft of the understanding of life, we as a nation can condone abortion by the millions and not realize that that life is a part of ourself.
You who are sitting there are a part of me. How much more is that which is in my womb a part of myself? It has the capacity to perpetuate myself as genes and chromosomes, as consciousness, but further, it has the capacity to perpetuate the moving stream of life. And therefore, how have we entered into the insanity that is as a cancer of the mind that allows us to conclude that the liberation of one individual—namely a woman—could come from the murder of another part of life that is the part of that very woman? We have believed a lie, and the apostle says, “They believed the lie and their damnation is just.”
What is damnation? It is the judgment of God that returns to us. That which we sow, we will reap. And so, we are sowing the whirlwind because we have become insensitive to life beyond the physical. And so we define everything by what appears physically, not realizing that there is a preordained consciousness. We need to know that we have conscious awareness moving in and out of life, and therefore I must bear witness. I cannot stand by and see the veils of ignorance and forgetfulness come upon my people, and so I must tell you of my inner witness. And because I am one of you and a part of you, perhaps there will be relevance in my inner experience in the temple of God.
And so I say to you, I remember having lived before. I remember the consciousness that I had when I was in the womb. It was fully mature and aware. It was in that Higher Self. And so there is just the same experience in the abortion of a child as there would be in the slaughter or the murder of any of us as full- grown adults. That is an individual, a soul, an identity moving through the cycles of life, knocking on the doors, gaining entrance to life to have an opportunity to experience freedom and to fulfill its karma, its destiny, its purpose.
We need to realize that when we play God we are the ultimate idolaters. And whether we are playing with genes and chromosomes—as the scientists did on Atlantis, creating monstrosities and therefore causing the sinking of that continent in the flood of Noah—or whether we are playing with nuclear energy today, we are playing with the sacred fire, and that sacred fire will turn unto us what we have done.
